I founded Kayne Law Group in May, 2002, after 20 exceptional years as a partner of Ice Miller (f/k/a Schottenstein, Zox & Dunn). This year, we celebrate our 10th anniversary. My! How we’ve grown! From a solo practice to a real “group”. Our list of clients seems to grow weekly. Despite the recession and a lousy real estate market in particular, 2009, 2010, and 2011 were our best years ever.

Growth was never, and is not now, my strategic goal. We are growing because our clients are pushing us to do so. Why? I think it’s simple, basic, common sense stuff:

• talented lawyers with a wealth of experience
• absolute integrity
• great service (i.e., quick turnaround on getting documents out the door, returning phone calls in minutes or hours (not days), listening instead of pontificating)
• delivering value (that means fair fees, without “nickel and diming” our clients for faxes, copies and long distance calls)
• large firm expertise and commitment to quality, with small firm personal attention and thoughtful counsel
• we take our clients’ needs, but not ourselves, very seriously
• we insist on having fun with our clients
